CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT
This program includes an introduction to health care, basic nursing skills, body structure and functions, and infection control. Certified Nursing Assistant is obtained by completing the course and clinical activities under the instructor’s supervision. The student must pass a written and practical exam to obtain the certificate. Students may work as a CNA while in a college. By taking the CNA course at the high school, a student can save at least $760.00 in tuition and fees.
Students earn 3 Carnegie units for this course.
Prerequisites: Background check AND Biology I OR Medical Terminology & Allied Health Services OR EMR
