For today’s #SundaySpotlight, the Lafourche Schools Spotlight is on Caroline Lagarde.
As a system analyst in the technology department, Caroline is a vital bridge between our district’s technology and each school's daily administrative, instructional and operational needs. She graduated from Central Lafourche High School and Nicholls State University with bachelor’s degrees in government and computer science and a master’s degree in business administration.
“Caroline plays a key role in supporting the Time Clock system, helping HR navigate and resolve complex issues with precision and speed,” said Tiffany Guy, manager of human resources, who nominated her for the Spotlight. “Her expertise in data processing and deep knowledge of Munis, particularly with accruals in the database, allows her to troubleshoot and streamline processes that impact payroll, attendance, and reporting.”
“Though she’s often ‘behind the screen,’ Caroline’s work is front and center in its impact. The HR team relies on her heavily for custom reports, software support, and technical problem-solving that keeps our operations efficient and accurate,” Guy added. “Her dedication, responsiveness, and technical skill make her an invaluable part of our district. Caroline may not always be visible, but her contributions are deeply felt—and greatly appreciated.”
In the constantly evolving field of technology, Caroline has helped keep the district’s infrastructure running smoothly by providing effective, efficient and secure solutions to meet the needs of students and staff.
“Technology has changed a great deal since I started working here 25 years ago,” Caroline shared. “My job today is different than it was when I first started. Embracing change has been essential. There is always something new to learn and there are always different problems to solve, so it never gets boring.”
