Due to changes in the federal Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program for the 2026-2027 school year, free breakfast and lunch will no longer automatically be available to all Lafourche Parish School District elementary and middle schools. The district previously received pandemic funding for this program from 2020-2022 and continued to qualify from 2022-2026 due to the impacts of Hurricane Ida. CEP is no longer an option for all K-8 schools, and the district is returning to the previous system of collecting applications for households that wish to apply for free or reduced-price meals at non-CEP eligible schools.
