The members of the Superintendent’s Employee Advisory Council gathered last week for their final meeting of the 2025-2026 school year, offering valuable input and fresh perspectives on district operations.

Throughout this year, these ten dedicated council members have met quarterly with Superintendent Martin to serve as a vital link between their campuses and district leadership. Through open dialogue, these representatives ensure that the challenges and concerns of their colleagues are heard at the highest levels.

We want to extend a sincere thank you to our advisory council members for volunteering their time and expertise this year. Their commitment to advocacy is helping to make Lafourche Parish Schools a better place for everyone to learn, work and grow.

Congratulations to the Central Lafourche High School Indoor Percussion on an outstanding performance at the WGI World Championships in Dayton, Ohio.

After delivering superior performances in both prelims and semifinals, the ensemble advanced to finals in the Scholastic Open division—an incredible achievement. They ultimately placed 10th out of 52 groups from across the nation and were also honored as the Fan Favorite.

This is a remarkable accomplishment, and we couldn’t be more proud of their hard work, dedication, and talent. Congratulations to all performers, staff, and supporters!
