To celebrate National Principals Month, we’re sharing some fun facts about our amazing school administrators. Today you’ll learn more about Mrs. Jessica LeBlanc, principal of St. Charles Elementary School.

Here’s the inside scoop on Mrs. LeBlanc:

🐾 She’s been a principal for two years.
🐾 She says the most rewarding part of being a principal is connecting with students, teachers, staff, families, and community members who are all yearning for the same goal...student success! She loves celebrating successes with students!
🐾 Her favorite subject was science, specifically biology. She earned a biology degree and taught the subject for many years. “Biology helps us understand so much about ourselves and all of the living systems around us. It's fascinating!”
🐾 Her favorite school lunches are chicken and parsley rice and Salisbury steak and mashed potatoes.
🐾 Going back to Europe and visiting Poland are on her bucket list.
🐾 Outside of work she loves to read, cook dishes from around the world and watch movies. She also loves to support her kids at their school activities, especially band.
🐾 Fun Fact: To honor her grandparents and her Polish heritage, they served kielbasa and pierogi at her wedding...right alongside the gumbo and jambalaya! Smakuje (Tasty)!

Here’s the inside scoop on Mrs. LeBlanc:

🐾 She’s in her second year as principal.
🐾 She says the most rewarding parts of being a principal are being able to witness growth and success of hardworking students and teachers, developing meaningful relationships with students, families, and staff and watching how it has impacted the school and students. “Lastly, it is so rewarding to LOVE where you work. It is an honor to be principal of Galliano Elementary.”
🐾 Her favorite subject was math because she loved the challenge of solving a problem.
🐾 Her favorite school lunch is gumbo.
🐾 One item on her bucket list is a trip to Hawaii.
🐾 Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family. Making memories with her two sons is her favorite. She also enjoys vacationing with family and shopping.

🐾 She has been a principal for six years.
🐾 She says the most rewarding part of being a principal is seeing the growth not just in test scores or data, but in the confidence, character, and potential of every student. It's the little moments that make the biggest impact. It's seeing a student who once struggled walk into school with confidence and determination. It's watching a teacher try something new and seeing it light up their classroom. It's hearing a parent say, "Thank you for believing in my child." Being a principal isn't always easy, but it is always worth it. “I get to be part of something that truly changes lives, and that's a gift I don't take for granted.”
🐾 Her favorite subject in school was reading because every story was a new adventure.
🐾 Her favorite school lunch is pizza.
🐾 One item on her bucket list is to meet Coach Prime in person.
🐾 Outside of work she enjoys walking and watching football.
🐾 Fun Fact: She’s a huge Prince fan and had an opportunity to visit Paisley Park in Chanhassen, MN.

🟢 The most rewarding part of being a principal is being able to see his staff and students achieve their goals.
🟢 Science was always his favorite subject. “I was blessed to have two legends at Central Lafourche -- Mrs. Anna Cole and Mrs. Brenda Breaux. They both pushed me beyond my comfort zone and made me a better student.”
🟢 His favorite school lunch is gumbo.
🟢 One item on his bucket list is visiting all 50 states.
🟢 Outside of work, he’s a big sports fan and loves to cook. He also loves supporting his kids in all of their sports and activities.
🟢 Fun Fact: He’s certified to teach Family and Consumer Sciences.

To celebrate National Principals Month, we’re sharing some fun facts about our amazing school administrators. Today you’ll learn more about Mrs. Tina Guidry, principal of Bayou Blue Elementary School.

Here’s the inside scoop on Mrs. Guidry:

🐔 She’s been a principal for 13 years.
🐔 She says the most rewarding part of being a principal is it broadened the scope of impact she was able to have as a teacher with her students to being able to have that impact with staff, parents, community, and other colleagues in the school system by being able to help, encourage, show support and compassion, guide and lead, build relationships, and push for growth and progress, never letting anyone give up in making their mark on the world.
🐔 English was her favorite subject in school because she loved her teacher. “She made learning poetry and reading literature and talking about themes, and writing meaningful essays so mesmerizing that I wanted to be just like her, so I became a high school English teacher.”
🐔 Her favorite school lunch is sausage and potato stew.
🐔 Traveling around the world is on her bucket list.
🐔 Outside of work she loves hanging out by her pool with her family and her dog and cat, dancing, singing, watching movies and enjoying coffee from all the different coffee spots.
🐔 Fun Fact: Most people don't know that she’s from Baton Rouge originally and loves LSU. “I bleed purple and gold!”

National Principals Month: Dana Gros

To celebrate National Principals Month, we’re sharing some fun facts about our amazing school administrators. Today you’ll learn more about Ms. Dana Gros, principal of South Larose Elementary School.

Here’s the inside scoop on Ms. Gros:

🐶 She’s in her fifth year as principal.
🐶 She says the most rewarding part of being a principal is watching students blossom, seeing the excitement in teachers and students when they succeed and knowing that even the smallest success is growth for not just the students but the school family and eventually the community.
🐶 Her favorite subject in school was math because she was blessed with some amazing teachers who instilled a love for it. “I guess I liked to solve problems.”
🐶 Her favorite school lunch in high school was the amazing homemade pizza, and now it’s meat pies.
🐶 An item on her bucket list is to stay in a hut over the water in Bora Bora.
🐶 Outside of work she enjoys traveling and fishing.

🐯 He’s in his second year as principal.
🐯 He says the most rewarding part of being a principal is seeing his goal of always advocating for the students, staff, and community of Thibodaux Elementary come together to enhance the learning and lives of everyone he comes into contact with. “I have always been a people-person, so I love interacting with my school community in a positive way. It is so rewarding to see the impact it makes to simply smile, make conversation, and be nice. It never gets old! Teaching and learning can sometimes prove to be tricky, but the easiest way to reach a student is by valuing who they are as a person. I tell my students three affirmations every day during my morning announcements, and I live by them. My students are told each morning that they are loved, they are heard, and they are seen. To me, that is so rewarding and important!”
🐯 His favorite subject in school was chemistry because he enjoyed working in the lab alongside his friends.
🐯 His favorite school lunch is baked chicken and parsley rice.
🐯 He would love to publish a children’s book one day.
🐯 Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family in Grand Isle, going crabbing, and taking cruises.
🐯 Fun Fact: During college, he went to Starbucks so much that the baristas knew his name, his order, and what time he was going to be there. Whenever he would walk in, his coffee would be waiting for him.

🦝 She says the most rewarding part of being a principal is the opportunity to build lasting relationships with students and staff. These connections help create a positive school climate where every student feels safe, valued, and loved. “At RLES, we've found that this is our natural recipe for helping our students grow and succeed. The best part of my day is walking the halls and being randomly blessed with fist bumps, high-fives, and hugs—small moments that remind me of the strong, caring community we've built together.”
🦝 Her favorite subject in school was math. “In the 7th grade, I had the pleasure of having Ms. Debra Chiasson as my math teacher and she made learning so much fun. I always loved math but that year made math come alive for me.”

To celebrate National Principals Month, we’re sharing some fun facts about our amazing school administrators. Today you’ll learn more about Mrs. Celeste Breaux, principal of Larose-Cut Off Middle School.

Here’s the inside scoop on Mrs. Breaux:

🦴 She’s been a principal for three years.
🦴 She says the most rewarding part of being a principal is witnessing the successes of her students each day. “Whether that success is big or small, in the classroom or on the field, or in the band or at a competition, it sure is rewarding to see.”
🦴 Her favorite subject was PE because she loved the competition in each sport/activity. Math was a close second.
🦴 Fish and cheese was/is still her favorite school lunch. The lasagna at LCO is her second favorite.
🦴 Her bucket list includes a train trip up the East Coast and experiencing/seeing the Northern Lights.
🦴 Fun Fact: She and her family have been to 16 major league baseball parks/stadiums, and they’re planning to complete the 30 park/stadium tour.
